With a PhD in Experimental Psychology, my foundation is rooted in academic and applied research, spanning areas like cognitive psychology, medical decision-making, and attention studies. UX is where all my research experience comes alive, addressing real human needs and delivering meaningful, user-centered experiences.

Rooted in Real Life
I grew up as a military brat, spending my early childhood living overseas while my dad served in the Army. Before I could walk, I had already visited nearly every country in Europe, developing a deep curiosity about different cultures, people, and ways of life. That global perspective stayed with me, even after we moved to a small rural town where life felt quieter—but no less complex.
Experiencing both global cities and tight-knit rural communities taught me how environments shape experience, access, and opportunity. It also shaped my deep appreciation for technology accessibility and the critical role it plays in everyday life. I’m driven to design digital tools that are inclusive and equitable for everyone—regardless of broadband speed, device access, or tech savviness.
This perspective fuels my mission: to shape experiences that are intuitive, impactful, and built for real people navigating real-life complexity.

Outside of Work
When I’m not leading research strategy, you’ll find me recharging through hands-on, creative activities. I’ve been learning to play electronic drums (rhythm is harder than it looks!), hiking forest trails, and tending to my garden. I also enjoy transforming old things, from refinishing salvaged wood furniture to remodeling my own kitchen and bathrooms from the studs up.
I’m an avid gamer who’s always exploring what’s next—whether it’s digital adventures like Pokémon GO and Diablo, or testing unusual board games and cutting-edge strategy games just hitting the market. I’m even developing my own mobile game as a creative side project.
I’m equally adventurous in the kitchen. I love cooking and experimenting with bold flavors and new techniques, especially when trying foods from around the world. Not every experiment is a success, but I find joy in the process—even the glorious failures.
